Asylums with doors open wide
This is the accent of the half-hearted land
Calling tears from deep inside
Cover me

I was happy in the haze of a drunken hour
Please, please forgive me but I won't be home again.
I thought I had left it behind in another fucking time.

Whisper your name in an empty room
Warn your warmth to turn away
I would say I'm sorry if I thought that it would change your mind
Where'd you go?

Fear me you lords and lady preachers
If you smile at me you know I will understand
Climbed up on a rainbow just to see if I'd fall off

To know her is to love her
What was it I was thinking, was I even thinking at all?

Bring along your tricks and trade
Hundreds of miles
And so another journey has come to an end
